Berkshire Canoe Tours is a family-owned and operated business that is eager to share the unspoiled beauty of the Housatonic River with you! Their guided canoe trips meander among the gentle curves of the river while introducing you to some of the most abundant plant and wildlife in the region. You may want to bring your camera in case you find any red-tail hawks, owls, or Canadian geese along the way! More commonly spotted Housatonic residents include beavers, muskrats, blue herons, kingfishers, and painted turtles.
The trained guides at Berkshire Canoe Tours provide general instruction for first-time paddlers. That way, you won’t have to worry about falling behind. These tours are suitable for experienced canoers and those who have hardly touched a paddle in their lifetime. Plus, it’s a fantastic way to immerse in the tranquility of nature and learn more about the region’s history!
Tours usually last about 2 hours and are run several times a day throughout the season. The journey costs $50 per adult and $30 per child. This price includes a canoe, paddle, and personal safety equipment. Here is a short list of some things you should bring along with you:
