When the Berkshire Theatre Festival and the Colonial Theatre merged together in 2010, the Berkshire Theatre Group was born! While there are 5 magnificent venues to enjoy, there are 3 historic theaters that you absolutely must see for yourself.
Built in 1903, the Colonial Theatre was a true gem of its time. It was designed by architect Joseph McArthur Vance and J.B. McElfatrick in the early 1900’s. A multi-million dollar renovation was recently done to the theater, giving it brand new upgrades to its original splendor!
This lovely barn-like venue is a favorite for many visitors. The Unicorn Theatre seats 122 guests and is also home to new and emerging artists.
Since 1928, the Fitzpatrick Main Stage has been known as the ultimate summer theater. The iconic building helped establish the Berkshires as a cultural destination by hosting the finest classical theater productions each summer.
The Berkshire Theatre Group hosts an abundance of performances for you to see throughout the year. If you’re interested in viewing a professional and exciting show in a historic setting, take a look at these upcoming events that we’re sure you’ll love!
